Young Horse Starting

Offering backing of young horses at 3 years of age and up.

2 week trial period at a reduced trial period.

A 90 day minimum commitment is required for the backing and starting of young horses after evaluation period.

Horses are developed through a classical, methodical foundation beginning on the ground. Long lining and lunging are used to establish balance, rhythm, responsiveness, and understanding before the first ride. This progressive approach ensures the horse gains clarity and confidence prior to carrying a rider.

During the 90 day period, horses are expected to develop:

  • Understanding of leg pressure

  • Basic steering and directional control

  • Forward responsiveness

  • Proper connection and balance in the walk, trot, and canter

Our goal is to produce a confident, rideable young horse with a correct foundation that supports long-term soundness and future advancement.

2 week evaluation period- $900.

Remaining 90 days- $2,000 per month
